Hi there, I'm Jenna a.k.a. No Whey Lady!
Food and myself haven't always gotten along. I have a highly sensitive body and live with multiple food allergies and intolerances. Events that are supposed to be fun, community building, cultural, and family oriented are often stress inducing for this reason. I must constantly ask what is in the food, how it was prepared, etc. I first created this site as a place where I could chronicle my dairy-free, gluten-free, corn-free recipes, travel tips, and musings...but it has transformed into something more than that.
Since starting NO WHEY LADY, I attended and graduated from Bauman College's holistic Nutrition Consultant program, have gone off my hormonal birth control pill, been on and off the Low FODMAP diet, lost // regained my cycle // gone through many whacky, imbalanced anovulatory cycles, restored my libido, and have started programs to help heal others who are living with similar issues…I’ve also been through a giant breakup, have done the dating apps, have deleted said dating apps, and redownloaded them again…i most recently have set on my spiritual journey am now a reiki healer and 200 ryt yoga teacher.
While I use real food as a tool, my journeys combined have shown me that our gut, physical body, and emotional spirit have way to do with way more than what put we put in our mouths (though food is important). It has to do with the mind, the body, and the spirit, and our energetic connection to our communities and the cosmos, too. Movement, mental state, and lifestyle choices paired with the proper food and mental fuel have changed my life completely and I'm so excited to share my expanded journey with you.
