Tropical Green Goddess Smoothie

This lady could not be more ready to ditch winter right now, it's currently a frigid 48F in SF with a feels like of 45...say whaat?! When it's this cold out I find myself not craving salads, but majorly craving smoothies (please tell me I'm not the only one). I will literally sit with the heater on wrapped in a blanket devouring 32 ounces of pure Vitamix-ed goodness. If you've been keeping up with my Instagram, you know that I have also been battling an intestinal flare up, I'm a long time sufferer on IBS. This has meant: laying low on the sulfur-rich foods, upping my intake of fatty proteins (salmon), staying clear of raw vegetables, and consuming easily digestible grains for my stomach...fancy talk for lots of rice cakes. To combat my recent lack of greenage and to put both my love and I in the Miami mood - YES we're heading there in just a couple weeks to spend the holidays on the beach with my boyfriend's family - I whipped us up a super green smoothie with tropical vibes that is also chock full of nutrients for glowing skin. Your skin's appearance is directly correlated with your personal gut health. So this smoothie is not only full of healthy fats, vitamin A // C // E, beta-carotene, and lycopene to promote glowing skin, but it's also tummy safe - meaning it's made with precooked then frozen veggies for easier digestion, turmeric to reduce inflammation, and collagen which I've found is not only a good source of protein for smoothies for those like me who aren't big on protein powders (it's tasteless!!) but has also been said, though not by everyone, to improve digestive health.
