Sacha Incha say what? That seemed to be the most common response when I posted about this on my instagram (aside from the handful of messages that said "I'M OBSESSED WITH THESE SEEDS").
I was first introduced to this one of a kind seed by my superfood family over at Imlak'esh - not sponsored, just love them (not only because they have the most unique, organic snacks, but also because they are all packaged in glass containers!). They taste slightly like a peanut but not quite and are very crunchy. From the digging I've done, they are low fodmap (in reasonable quantities) and are generally pretty allergy friendly - making them a great sub for peanuts which mold easily and tree nuts. To be completely honest, I'm not wild about them plain - the twinge of flavor that makes them not taste like a peanut throws me off, but the touch of maple syrup in this recipe does the trick. If you have access to these wonder seeds - they are packed with all the good stuff and a great way to switch up your snack game - variety is key when it comes to food! They're super nutrient dense and are filled with omega fatty acids that promote brain, joint, hair, and skin health.
